Really good food and it was decently priced.A main for about 1000+ yenThe fried smelt is definitely a must-try! It was only 750yenYums!

My favourite meal in Japan during my stay so far. The Hoto was incredibly tasty and the hospitality very friendly. Highly recommend to all my friends!

It is Houtou branch which is Yamanashi prefecture traditional dish. There is taste and quantity is also good. The shop is also clean. The sheep are very large and the price is not cheap (about 1300-1500 yen). If you are a sheep, try half a bowl (200 yen discount).

Excellent food and something for everyone. Come hungry, 'cause portions are big.

When visiting Lake Yamanaka, you can see the climbing stone mill soup from several shops on the lakeside. I would like to have many kinds of soba noodles, and I ordered chicken chicken. Noodles were half (200 yen discount). It seems to be warm on a hot and cold day. There was a big pumpkin. There was plenty of chicken and it was soft. When the food of the people who came together was brought to me, I heard an explanation that they liked the hotness of sesame nanban. I was already eating and I didn't try it, but the people who ate it said it was very hot.

Before the meal Unnu, I came to the group and wrote the name of them later.The gloved staff told me, "Why are those guys first?"I wanted to go home, but since the child was hungry, I put up with it.I didn't know if the food was delicious, so I just left my complaints.I don't think I will come again.

Looking for a restaurant near the ryokan where we were, this little restaurant didn't look like much but the opinions were very good and I understood very well why! Service at the top, DELICIOUS noodles (among the best I have eaten in Japan) and this, in incredible quantities 😊 if I return one day in the area, I will not hesitate on the restaurant where I will eat!

We had lunch yesterday. Wonderful atmosphere. Tasty authentic soba , sushi and Tempura. Best Japanese food in Yamanakako. Looking forward for our second visit. Tourist friendly. Lovely seating arrangement with a traditional Japanese tatami seating

Great unique taste of Hoto. The fried smelt fish is also great and crunchy. The ambience with real fireplace also improve the appetite.

Curry hotoHot noodles were entangled with the thick soup and it was delicious.Curry goes well with miso flavor.Personally, I felt there was a bit more depth,There are many toppings because the choice of taste is widened,I thought it was good.In addition, when the spicy sesame on the table was added, the spiciness and the flavor of sesame were good.It seems that spicy sesame is also sold.There was a fireplace and the interior was warm.A replacement for water and tea is on the table.The parking lot can be stopped about 20 cars behind the aisle on the left side of the store.

Cosy and beautiful Japanese hoto noodle restaurant. English menu is available and also options for vegetarians. I ordered seafood hoto and got served a super giant scallop, large king prawn and a crab in a giant hot soup cast iron bowl. Staff are friendly and welcoming. We will be back again.

A restaurant where you can eat in Yamanashi Prefecture, food hoto (ほ う と う). Taste the soup was able to add the toppings depending on the neat sign. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was also good. If you are traveling in this area that I can recommend the restaurant.

Amazing authentic meal, the hoto we had was delicious. Perfect for the cold weather after a day of travel. Absolutely recommend eating here.

The restaurant seems to be high-end, so it was always a chain restaurant that I ate, but this time I went to Sho-ya here!The shop had a low table and a kotatsu (priority seat) between the boards. If the table is fat like a foreigner or me, the floor may slip and it may be a little difficult to sit (← thin)There was also a chair for small childrenThe cold water uses delicious water from Mt. Fuji. It was delicious, so I drunk (laughs)The menu was priced at a reliable Google word-of-mouth and the curry hoto (1300 yen) was rumored to be delicious.Impression of curry hoto is spicy! It was different from the udon restaurant's curry udon, and it tasted like Um S & B curry powder spice. Of course, a great meal!The inside of the store is also a wood burning stove, and the place where you use chopsticks for burning with gentle warmth was a quick work and it was good as a wood burning stove mania!Next time I will have Soba Daimori and Smelt

We enjoyed our evening at this Restaurant. The room was warm and comfortable because of the oven in the middle. The tables ate low, but there are tables where you can put your legs in a hole beneath the table so that you dont have to kneel. The Restaurant offers an english menu. We had the houtou soup with duck and soba noudles. Both where delicous. The waitresses where kind and nice.

It is a wonderful shop with a wood stove and some nostalgic atmosphere. You can enjoy delicious one at a reasonable price.
